What Should You Know Before Buying A Used Truck

Buying a used truck is no small thing as lot of money is involved and this investment is also directly responsible for making your work more efficient. Earlier, trucks were pretty simple with the basic build and there were not many options or confusion when it came to buying a truck be it new or old. Things have taken a change for the better off late with trucks coming with so many added accessories and attachments that it is not an easy task to buy one especially if it is old as it will indirectly imply that all these parts have been or will sooner be liable to damage. Some points to be noted when buying a used truck could be:

2007 Dodge Avenger Nascar

When you think about the Dodge Avenger, more than likely race car is not the first thing that comes to mind. However, once you see the 2007 Dodge Avenger NASCAR, race car will be the only thing in your mind when you think about it. Dodge has now created a special racing version of the Avenger to race in various races as the Car of Tomorrow. With a red, white, and blue paint scheme, this car definitely has the look of a racing car. Of course while the racing version of the car is only for the race track there is also a great street version of this car as well that you can actually own for yourself.

Modern Tuning Makes Maximizing Performance Much Faster

Chances are you’ve seen the Saturday afternoon show geared toward squeezing every droplet of power out of a 50s or 60s classic. You know—the one hosted by two middle-aged guys, one with a toupee that may as well have “this is a toupee” painted on it. They spend the entire half-hour show with a bunch of time-lapsed shots taken of them tearing the engine apart to put in highly-specialized, insanely expensive parts. Once the project’s done, they fire-up the dyno and laud the 3hp gain they received for about 4 hours of total work. If you’re like me, that’s not exactly how you want to spend a weekend, all for 3hp that you may not even notice with your rear-o-meter.

Monthly Car Sales Announcements Help Identify The Best Time To Buy

If you’re in the market for a new car, watching for the monthly car sale numbers announced by the major automakers can often help you determine if it would be best to buy now, or to wait a bit more for better prices.

When there’s solid consumer demand and car sales are brisk, prices remain strong. Without any existing hints of weakness, it’s unlikely we would see better deals due to increased manufacturer incentives and/or Dealer discounts (although we can see this at times on particularly slow-selling models).

What Is Icc Authority?

All transportation companies need an operating authority issued by the former Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) which is now maintained by the Department of Transportation (DOT). You as a trucker also need this operating authority. For commercial trucking and commercial truckers it is an unavoidable permit or authority. When you carry commodities over different state lines, you need this ICC authority along with truck Insurance and Cargo Insurance. While getting the ICC authority check with your home state rules and regulations. Your home state may have some regulation regarding loading and unloading of the items. For truckers an ICC authority means you have a permit to carry different items and goods within state and interstate.
